You may find this blog useful if:
- You learned dog training 30 years ago. In that case, you don’t know about all of the great advances in humane dog training. (This was me, right before I got Suki.)
- You’ve watched the TV personality, Cesar Milan, on TV, and regard him as an authority. In my opinion, he is very skilled at controlling dogs, but his techniques are often inhumane, and the show has led to an increase in dog bite incidents. While his hands-on skills are impressive, his theories are based on a misunderstanding of outmoded models of understanding canine behavior.
- You’ve never trained a dog, but are getting ready to acquire one, or have already acquired one.
- You have a dog with “issues”.
